SŌMA
DAILY

PRODUCT ASSETS
WITHOUT A TEST PLAN.
For this fictional brief, SŌMA is treated as an early-stage Dubai drink brand with approved packaging and basic product imagery—but no agreed audience message, short-video system or useful way to compare creative ideas.
This situation is an explicit design assumption, not information supplied by a real client.
EXACTLY WHAT
WE WOULD DO.
This is the custom workflow represented by the SŌMA concept. The message system is approved before any finished video is rendered.
- 01
Set one test objective
Agree the audience, business objective, channel and one action the viewer should take.
- 02
Build distinct messages
Develop three genuinely different reasons to care rather than changing only the visual treatment.
- 03
Script + storyboard
Write the core cuts, map the six modular openings and show the client the key frames before production.
- 04
Produce the approved system
Create the agreed presenter, product scenes, caption visuals, disclosure and end cards after approval.
- 05
Export + prepare the test
Deliver the agreed vertical masters and variants with a version map and a simple measurement sheet.
WHAT THE CLIENT WOULD RECEIVE
Final quantities and formats are confirmed in the written scope. “Six hooks” means six modular opening options—not eighteen unrelated finished films.
- 01One approved creative brief: audience, objective, channel and CTA
- 02Three message territories with a reason for each
- 03Three 30-second core scripts and storyboard directions
- 04Six modular 0–3 second hook openings mapped to the agreed cores
- 05One approved synthetic presenter direction and disclosure treatment
- 06One caption visual system: hierarchy, line breaks, safe zones and end cards
- 07Agreed captioned 9:16 masters and variant exports after production approval
- 08One version map, review checklist and measurement sheet
ONE VIDEO
OR A TESTING SYSTEM?
The SŌMA project represents a separately scoped custom creative test. It is intentionally broader than a standard AI-presenter video.
One approved message.
- One agreed English script
- One approved synthetic presenter
- Simple supporting visuals
- Styled, burned-in captions
- One finished video up to 30 seconds
- Agreed review and export format
Does not include multiple message territories, hook testing, custom filming, ad management or campaign analysis.
A system of testable messages.
- Creative brief and test objective
- Three distinct message territories
- Core scripts and storyboard prototype
- Six modular hook openings
- Custom caption and disclosure system
- Agreed masters, variants and test sheet
Requires a custom written scope because production complexity, product assets, claims and final version count can differ.
DIFFERENT ANGLES.
NOT DIFFERENT FILTERS.
Each territory gives the product a different role, creative device and question to answer. That makes the comparison useful.
THE DESK RESET
Make the can a bright punctuation mark between one part of the workday and the next.
Your calendar has a gap. Give it a colour.
COLOUR YOU CAN HEAR
Build attention from the crack, fizz, pour and condensation—not an unsupported product promise.
Turn the sound on for this pour.
PICK YOUR COLOUR
Turn three fictional flavours into a simple, visual choice people can respond to.
Citrus, mint or coral—which one gets the cold shelf?
FAST
WITHOUT
PRETENDING.
AI can make production more flexible. It does not create permission to invent experience, expertise or product effects.
- 01
Disclose the format
Label synthetic presenters and materially AI-generated scenes clearly from the opening frame.
- 02
No borrowed credibility
Do not manufacture a customer story, review, expert endorsement or first-person testimonial.
- 03
No invented product effects
Keep the story to flavour, format, setting and ritual. Product facts require client approval.
- 04
Protect identity
No likeness or voice cloning without specific, documented permission from the person involved.
- 05
Human final review
A person checks the script, frames, captions, disclosure and cultural fit before publishing.
WHAT MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE PRODUCTION
Make & Metric can shape the message and flag risk, but the client remains responsible for the accuracy and permission behind product claims and supplied assets.
- 01Approved product name, ingredients, factual claims and mandatory wording
- 02Current brand assets, packaging artwork and usable product imagery
- 03The audience, publishing channel and destination for the final CTA
- 04Permission for any person, voice, likeness, logo, music or third-party asset
- 05A named approver who can sign off scripts, claims, visuals and final exports
HEALTH, NUTRITIONAL, MEDICAL OR REGULATED CLAIMS ARE NOT WRITTEN OR PUBLISHED WITHOUT CLIENT-SUPPLIED SUBSTANTIATION AND THE APPROPRIATE FINAL REVIEW.
EVERY SECOND
HAS A JOB.
This example uses the sensory territory. The disclosure remains visible whenever a synthetic presenter appears.
- 00:00–00:03HOOK
Open on one visually specific thought.
“Your afternoon has a colour now.”
- 00:03–00:08CONTEXT
Place the product in a recognisable moment.
Desk, calendar gap, cold can.
- 00:08–00:17PRODUCT
Show the object and the sensory details.
Crack, condensation, pour, three colours.
- 00:17–00:25CHOICE
Give the viewer one uncomplicated prompt.
“Which colour gets your cold shelf?”
- 00:25–00:30ACTION
Close with a modest, trackable next step.
Discover the concept range.
THE IDEA,
BEFORE PRODUCTION.
These are static keyframes, script directions and caption concepts. They are not a playback or edited frames from a completed SŌMA video. A commissioned project would move to finished MP4 exports only after the client approves the message, claims, presenter, storyboard and production scope.
STATUS / NO FINISHED VIDEO RENDERED
FICTIONAL CREATIVE DIRECTION · STATIC STORYBOARD PROTOTYPE · NO CUSTOMER, CREATOR, FINISHED VIDEO OR CAMPAIGN PERFORMANCE IS REPRESENTED
CAPTIONS ARE
PART OF THE ART DIRECTION.
The agreed caption system defines hierarchy, line breaks, colour, safe areas, disclosure placement and end-card language. It is then applied to the approved video exports—not left as an automatic afterthought.
THE HOOK
IS THE VARIABLE.
Keep the body and CTA consistent, then change the opening thought. The comparison can reveal which framing deserves another round.
A louder way to take five.
OPENING / 00:00–00:03POV: the desk gets a colour change.
OPENING / 00:00–00:03Cold can. Sharp crack. Thirty seconds off.
OPENING / 00:00–00:03Three colours. One cold shelf.
OPENING / 00:00–00:03Turn the sound on for this pour.
OPENING / 00:00–00:03The calendar says 3:15. The can says citrus.
OPENING / 00:00–00:03READ THE SIGNAL.
THEN MAKE THE NEXT CUT.
A reporting structure is useful before results exist. This board shows what would be reviewed—not fictional values.
Did the first three seconds earn attention?
Keep, rewrite or replace the hook.
—Where did attention begin to fall?
Shorten or reorder the middle.
—Did the story sustain interest to the end card?
Review pacing and message clarity.
—Did viewers take the agreed next step?
Compare CTA wording and placement.
—What questions or preferences appeared?
Feed useful language into the next scripts.
—KNOW WHAT
GETS MADE—AND WHY.
An approvable direction
The audience, message, channel and action are agreed before production begins.
Tangible creative files
Scripts, storyboards, caption visuals, disclosure and the version map are concrete deliverables.
A safer approval path
Product facts, permissions and synthetic-media disclosure are checked before rendering.
A useful next decision
Once published, real signals—not invented results—determine which message earns another round.
SŌMA Daily is a fictional product and self-initiated concept. It does not represent client work, customer testimony, verified product benefits or campaign performance.
